RFDS Port Augusta
A full stormwater and drainage package on one of the region's most significant health builds.
The job.
Phillips delivered the whole stormwater and drainage package on the Royal Flying Doctor Service facility build in Port Augusta, working for Mossop Construction & Interiors through MTE. The project carried the scope and tolerances the company is built to handle, for a builder who needed the work held to a precise standard.
Scope of works
- Site preparation and bulk earthworks
- Stormwater drainage and precast stormwater infrastructure
- Retaining wall footings and backfill
- Final levels and detail works across tiered areas
What made it technical
The challenge was less the difficulty than the relentlessness of it. Extreme changes in RLs and finished heights across a tiered site, retaining wall footings and backfill to sequence, and falls and levels re-worked on site around obstacles to make the stormwater perform. Every level had to be accurate for the system to function, and the volume of work was substantial. It was delivered once, to standard.
The finished site.
